Expansion
The government had recently transferred the registrars of six state universities. Out of these, the registrars of Lucknow University and Prof. Rajendra Singh Rajju Bhaiya University Prayagraj have not joined yet. The government has expressed strong displeasure over this and has warned of action if they do not assume charge within three days.
Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, Special Secretary of Higher Education Department, has said in a letter sent to both the registrars that on June 28, the government had transferred the Registrar and Controller of Examinations. In this, everyone was instructed to immediately take charge at their new place of posting. But Rajju Bhaiya University’s Registrar Sanjay Kumar and Lucknow University’s Registrar Vinod Kumar Singh have not yet taken charge.
Nor has the information about taking charge been provided to the government. If charge is not taken at the new place of posting within three days, action will be taken as per rules for disobeying the government’s order.
Let us tell you that the registrar of Rajju Bhaiya University was transferred to Lucknow University and the registrar of Lucknow University was transferred to Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. But till now both are still at their previous positions.
